Construction began in April 2007 on what was to be the new addition to Country Kids Childcare Center. By July of 2007, the newly constructed addition was complete, adding an extra 2700 square feet to the building. This allowed for Country Kids Childcare Center to be licensed for 148 children, when it had previously only been licensed for 64. Along with the new building, an additional playground area, a new fence, and a parking lot with 15 extra spaces were added as well.
The new addition was built by Tommy Thompson, son of owners Linda and Thomas Thompson.
In May 2011 Country Kids Childcare Center expanded their care to include children aged 16 months with their introduction of a toddler program.
